Warranty & Refund Policy – Modular Furniture

Following are the warranty terms. Warranty is applicable only when Lifeasy Interiors has supplied complete product with branded material and doesn’t cover where only “Job/ Labour” work is done.

  • Lifeasy Interiors offers 1(one) year service warranty and upto 7(seven) years warranty on base Furniture material, Hardware, Appliances & Accessories for Modular Kitchen and Modular Wardrobes only. The warranty period (maximum upto 7 years) will be same as that offered by the original equipment manufacturer, Product Brand which customer has selected or agreed in Lifeasy Interiors quotation and as per the terms & conditions mentioned for warranty by original equipment manufacturer/ Product brand.
  • Lifeasy Interiors offers 1(one) year service warranty and upto 7(seven) years warranty on base Furniture material, Hardware, Appliances & Accessories for Modular Kitchen and Modular Wardrobes only. The warranty period (maximum upto 7 years) will be same as that offered by the original equipment manufacturer, Product Brand which customer has selected or agreed in Lifeasy Interiors quotation and as per the terms & conditions mentioned for warranty by original equipment manufacturer/ Product brand.
  • For any other Modular furniture, Home décor product, home improvement product; the applicable warranty is only for 1 (one) year. For Home improvement services & civil work related services like Tiles, False ceiling, Painting etc, the applicable warranty is only for 1 (one) year.
  • Two visits are free of cost for first year of warranty . Additional visits will be charged extra.
  • The scope of Lifeasy Interiors warranty as mentioned herein cannot be changed or broadened by any authorized representative of Lifeasy Interiors. Lifeasy Interiors will provide warranty support based on the terms and conditions mentioned in this document.

Below are the warranty terms

1.warranty claim will be considered valid and eligible when

  • a. When customer has paid 100% payment as per agreed PO.
  • b. The product supplied and installed is properly maintained and used for normal domestic use.
  • c. The product is owned by the original purchaser and is installed at its original position and location.

2. Lifeasy Interiors warranty does not include

  • a. Any labour, installation or transportation costs
  • b. b. Any products used or installed in conjugation with Lifeasy Interiors kitchen/ wardrobe/ modular storage such as electrical & plumbing fixtures, countertops and appliances. Any use of Lifeasy Interiors cabinetry or component parts which are contrary to instructions furnished by Lifeasy Interiors will void this warranty.
  • c. Any cabinetry or component parts that Lifeasy Interiors considers to have been subject to alteration, modification, accident, abnormal use, extreme temperatures and continuous contact with water, high moisture levels or use of harsh and/or abrasive cleaning chemicals.
  • d. Normal incidental deterioration like dents, nicks, cuts, scratches and abrasions which are resulting from normal use during the standard life of the product or caused by impacts or accidents.
  • e. The warranty does NOT cover rusting of channels, hinges, handles, Glass Shutters, Glass selves, Handle Profiles and other metallic parts. These could be damaged due to household chemicals and sprays. Hence, care is to be taken while using such products around hardware and accessories
  • f. Degradation, Colour fading, Changes in grain or texture of natural wood materials, laminates due to sunlight or caused by exposure to intensive or excessive light, moisture or heat or Use of inappropriate chemicals, detergents, cleaning agents.
  • g. Damage or stains due to water leakage and/or seepage
  • h. Lifeasy Interiors warranty in Sofa / Sofa cum Beds/ Beds etc does not cover upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions and foam, color fading from sunlight, damage caused by rough handling and use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents or improper use and maintenance.

3. The warranty policy shall not cover any defects arising out of factors out of control of Lifeasy Interiors, including but not limited to:

  • a. Natural calamities such as earthquakes, cyclones, flooding, lightning, etc
  • b. Vandalism
  • c. Acts of God
  • d. Abuse or negligence by the customer
  • e. Normal wear and tear
  • f. Surface with contaminants
  • g. Failure or defects in the structure or previous coating
  • h. Any other external factors
  • i. staining from foreign substances (such as dirt, grease, oils, sprays, etc)
  • j. environmental conditions (such as air pollution, solvent exposure, mould, mildew, etc),

4. Customer must notify Lifeasy Interiors via phone or email within 10 days of any defect that comes to notice, such as visual damage or malfunctioning component. Notification post the stipulated time, will void the Lifeasy Interiors warranty.

5. Lifeasy Interiors will not be held responsible for any claims arising out of defects due to material or workmanship of products not listed under claim terms.

6. Lifeasy Interiors warranty does not cover where it has done the “Job work” only.

7. Repair(s) and/or replacement(s) of product under warranty are subject to the current product offerings of Lifeasy Interiors product line or OEM /Brand Product line, at the time of the claim. If a claim is filed after a Lifeasy Interiors or OEM/ Brand product becomes obsolete or discontinued, Lifeasy Interiors will replace the affected component with a replacement component of a similar style based on availability at the time of the claim.

8. Any decision regarding repair of the said component (in part or whole) solely lies with the authorized Lifeasy Interiors representative. The decision will be made following an inspection by the representative whether to repair at site, or return product to the factory for refurbishing/ replacement.

9. Lifeasy Interiors will make all efforts to replace/ repair the said defect within a reasonable period of time and maximum in 30 days from the date of warranty claim registration.

10. Lifeasy Interiors will not be liable for any direct/indirect loss to the customer due to the defect or delay in providing the service, or any fault arising due to design, application or installation. In no event shall the liability of Lifeasy, under this warranty, exceed the purchase price of the particular product or its replacement. The customer's exclusive and sole remedy under this warranty shall be as mentioned here in this clause.

11. Lifeasy Interiors reserves the right to carry out inspections and to perform any tests, and may do so either itself or by means of any person nominated by it. Prior to such inspection or testing, the customer shall not be entitled to perform any repairs or remove or tamper with any part of the product/ service

12. Lifeasy Interiors is liable to process and execute any genuine repair or replacement request made by the customer within the warranty timeline in coordination with the respective OEM / Brand.

13. Any additional charges including work done over and above fixing the identified defect will be chargeable by the Lifeasy Interiors or OEM/ Brand as the case may be. The cost of these additional charges is to be borne by the customer.

14. There are no warranties expressed or implied under law, which extend beyond the terms set out in this warranty document.

15. Any decision regarding repair of the said component (in part or whole) solely lies with Lifeasy. The decision will be made following an inspection by the representative.

16. The cost of dismantling, reassembly & relocation of product, wherever required, will be borne by the customer.

17. Refund Policy: Following Refund Policy will be applicable in case customers wishes to cancel the order due to any unforeseen reasons.

  • a. 100% return of advance given to Lifeasy Interiors if such written request is made by the customer within 72 hours of making such payment. After that no refund and advance will be forfeited if order is cancelled by customer.
  • b. No refund will be made if customer cancels the booking / order post 2D & 3D design is made and project is at production stage.

18. Dispute Resolution

  • a. Neither party shall commence any court or arbitration proceedings related to the above warranty policy before completing the entire evaluation process. Under such circumstances, the warranty policy will be considered null and void as the issue would be sub judice.
  • b. The facts and all matters concerning any dispute will be kept confidential by both the customer and Lifeasy Interiors at all times.
  • c. The terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. New Delhi courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any claim or dispute which might arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.

19. Other terms and condition like Privacy Policy, Terms of use etc as mentioned on our website will be applicable.
